Mullanpur: The two teams in the first half of the league table, Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals, had the possibility of big runs in the match. The same happened in the first innings. Batting first after losing the toss, Punjab once again crossed the two-hundred mark, courtesy of Pravsimran Singh and Marcus Stoinis. Pravsimron against the new ball and Stoinis in the death overs, both played an aggressive innings with the bat. Due to this, the Punjab franchise scored 222 runs for four wickets in 20 overs.
