By breaking the table, the CAB has issued a circular for the first time asking for applications for the post of coach. Around 70-80 applications were submitted. The three-member committee recommended the names of certain people for different age groups of Bengal to CAB President Sourav Gangopadhyay after practically completing the interview phase. But at the last minute the situation changed dramatically. According to reliable sources, the committee has been asked to interview three new candidates.
Interview with the heavyweight trio?
According to CAB sources, CAB President Sourav himself gave a message to interview three people from the list of those who applied to be the coach of Bengal. Who are the three candidates?
Shaun Tate, Wasim Zafar and Surendra Bhave.
Former Australian fast bowler Shaun Tate Known for express speed. After retiring from cricket, the 43-year-old speedster has now chosen coaching as a career. He applied to become the coach of Bengal. The news is that he will be interviewed virtually.
Former Indian cricketer Wasim Zafar has been coaching for quite some time now. IPLHe also coached. If you listen to the domestic cricket circles, you can hear that Zafar’s thinking is compatible with modern cricket. That’s why he got a call for coaching even though there was a board camp at Center of Excellence in Bangalore. Zafar will also be interviewed.
Surendra Bhave is an experienced domestic cricket coach. Recently coached Odisha cricket team. He may also be interviewed virtually.
