But what if the pitch is wet even if it doesn’t rain? It was learned that Town Club and Bhavanipur played the quarter final match on this ground on Sunday. The overs had to be reduced in that match as well. After that match, the pitch was watered. That’s the problem.

East Bengal cricket secretary Sanjeev Acharya told ABP Live Bangla, ‘We wanted to play at Eden Gardens. But the match was given at Videocon ground. As the pitch was wet, the start of the match was delayed. The number of overs is reduced.’ He also informed that the CAB was asked to hold the quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals after the Bengal T20 League by suspending the tournament midway. However East Bengal The club objected. Sanjeev said, ‘P Sen Invitational Tournament. Outside players have also come to play in all teams. If they returned, it would be costly to bring them again. Moreover, there is no rain forecast now. That is why we ask CAB to end the tournament. They agreed. Even if the match is played on two consecutive days, the tournament ends. If not, all parties would be in trouble.’
