Mumbai: Harmanpreet Kaur is the captain of the Indian Womens Cricket Team last year. It was under his leadership that the Indian women’s cricket team won the One Day World Cup (ODI World Cup 2025) last year. For the first time, the Indian women’s cricket team snatched victory in the ODI World Cup. Harmanpreet won the World Cup as the captain of the country in the fifty over format on the country’s soil. This time the world victory in the format of twenty. Harmanpreet is aiming for that. He feels that lifting the trophy at Lord’s will be a very memorable moment for him.

The Indian women’s cricket team will play a three-match series in this format before entering the T20 World Cup in England. Harmanpreet Kaur made her national team debut in this format at the T20 World Cup in England in 2009. Harmanpreet says, ‘Yes, definitely the biggest memorable moment for me is Abhishek’s time. I think it would be a dream come true for any cricketer, if he debuts in England and then wins the World Cup in England. I could not ask more for myself or from God. It’s about maintaining a positive mindset and doing the right thing over and over again, because consistency always pays off.’

36-year-old Harmanpreet also said, ‘Not with any pressure, the Indian cricket team’s players are free from pressure and will enter the field with an open mind. The girls of the team will play their natural game. After winning the ODI World Cup, everyone’s confidence in the dressing room has increased. That confidence will be with us in this T20 World Cup as well. We now know how to win and perform well under pressure. Those experiences will give us confidence in this World Cup.’

Harmanpreet said, ‘Any series before the World Cup is very important. It is good that we are getting a chance to play in such conditions before the tournament, so that we can adapt to them. Playing against England is always challenging. We love to play in the atmosphere of England. Hopefully, this series will give us everything we need and give us a lot of confidence ahead of the T20 World Cup.’

Note that the Indian women’s cricket team will start their T20 World Cup campaign on June 14.
