After the humiliating loss against Royal Challengers Bangalore, the Delhi skipper revealed that Starc had already received the NOC. So, there is no obstacle for the Auji pacer to enter the field. Akshar says, “Stark’s game clearance has been met. But still his workload is a big issue. So, if there is no problem from that side, we will be able to bring him to the field soon.”
KKRStarc won the IPL in 2024 in his jersey. After that, Aji Pacer has been playing for Delhi Capitals since last season. With the way Delhi’s bowling line-up has struggled in the current tournament, Starc’s inclusion in the squad is crucial. Lungi Ngidi was injured against Punjab Kings. His absence was felt in the RCB match as well. If Starc does not enter this time, the pressure on Delhi will undoubtedly increase in the upcoming matches in the tournament.
When will Ngidi enter the field?
From what is reported so far, Lungi Ngidi has not been able to take the field due to ICC rules despite his recovery. In fact, as concussion was detected in the medical report, Ngdi will not be able to enter the field for 7 days according to ICC rules. According to that rule, Lungi Ngidi will not be able to play any match until May 2. That means Ngidi will not be able to play in the match against Rajasthan Royals on May 1. In other words, the Protea pacer has to stay out of the field for a total of two matches with the RCB match. As a replacement for Delhi Ngidi, 34-year-old Lankan pacer Dushmanta Chamira can be played in the Rajasthan match.
