Calcutta: After 15 years of rule, people have finally not chosen Trinamool Congress in Bengal. Mamata Banerjee’s party has done shame in the assembly elections. Trinamool Congress candidates won only 80 out of 294 seats. And after the defeat of the party, many leaders and ministers of the party have started to open their mouths. This time former Indian cricketer Manoj Tiwari left Trinamool Congress. The former cricketer of the national team and the former captain of the Bengal cricket team have made many complaints.

Manoj posted a picture on his social media. There he wrote, ‘Sin does not leave the father.’ In an interview given to news agency ANI, Manoj also said, ‘I am not at all surprised by such a massive disaster of the Trinamool Congress in the state. Where an entire party is completely mired in corruption, there will be no improvement. So this result was very natural for this team.’ But the former Bengali cricketer made a more serious complaint. He said, ‘To get an election ticket of Trinamool Congress, you have to pay 5 crore rupees. Only those who can afford the big bucks will get tickets. This time also at least 70 to 72 candidates got tickets instead of paying 5 crore rupees. I was also asked to pay this amount. But I didn’t agree with that. So I didn’t get the ticket.’

Manoj Tiwari had no desire to enter politics from the beginning. He said, ‘In 2019, I was offered to stand for the Lok Sabha polls. I didn’t agree. Later the phone came to me again. Later in 2021 from Shivpur Assembly electionsI became a candidate.

Complaining further, Manoj said, ‘As the MLA of Howrah, I ran here and there a lot to solve the problem of drainage system. But got no help from anywhere. Here in the municipal council, those who sat with responsibility without holding elections day after day, did not care about anything.

Trinamool candidate Ratna Chattopadhyay from Behala West has sparked outrage after losing. He said, ‘When you go to the leaders, you get arrogance, you get pride, the leaders don’t want to listen, when you go to the leaders, they try to avoid them, then people get upset, of course. The syndicate was something, no doubt. There are many like me who didn’t. But there are many others who have done it, which has given people the subject. A disturbing thing happened to the people.’
