Kaushambi: In today’s era, be it children or youth, using smartphone has become like an addiction for everyone. From waking up in the morning till sleeping at night, mobile has become an inseparable part of our lives. This increasing addiction to smartphones has now become a matter of serious concern. Forgetting the smell of books, the fun of playgrounds and the time spent with friends, today’s child is getting lost in the bright screen of the mobile. While technology has opened new avenues of learning for children, its excessive use has given rise to a big problem. Now irritability and mental imbalance can be clearly seen in children. Experts and parents believe that children are becoming stubborn and socially isolated due to spending hours in front of screens. This is directly affecting their studies, body and mind.

There is a rapid change in behavior
Addiction to mobile games, social media and continuous watching of videos is completely changing the nature of children. Due to being connected to the screen all the time, the concentration of children is decreasing. Symptoms like getting angry on small things, becoming stubborn, not obeying elders and liking to live alone are increasingly emerging in today’s children. The scariest situation is when their mobile is taken back. In such a situation, children become restless, start crying loudly or start behaving very aggressively.

Bad effect on mind and body
Experts say that watching mobile phones for a long time has a deep impact on the tender minds of children. Blue light emanating from mobile screens interferes with sleep, due to which children are not able to get complete sleep. When sleep is incomplete, the body remains tired, irritability increases and one does not feel like studying. Apart from this, due to lack of playing outside, the physical development of children is also being hindered. They have started living in such an imaginary world where there is no place left for real relationships and patience.

Parents’ busyness is also a big reason
A major reason for this problem is our changing lifestyle. Nowadays, parents are so busy with their work that they themselves hand over mobile phones to their children to keep them calm. In the beginning it seems like an easy method, but gradually this habit becomes a problem for children. The child gets cut off from the real world and his feelings and relationships start losing importance.

Doctor’s advice, save children from mobile addiction like this
Child specialist Dr. Vishwa Prakash has given detailed information about this. He told that in today’s world mobile is making everyone its slave. Mobile light directly harms the eyes. Its worst effect is on small children because they have become addicted to it. From eating to studying, they just need a mobile phone for everything.

The doctor has advised that to keep children away from mobile phones, first of all parents have to reduce the use of mobile phones in front of them. Do not show TV or mobile screen to small children at least till the age of 2 to 3 years. Instead of giving mobile phones to children, spend time with them, play with them and help them in studies. If the elders of the house teach children to use mobile phones, it will have a direct impact on their eyes and brain. Due to this, the child becomes stubborn, starts maintaining distance from everyone and becomes physically and mentally weak.
