Will America enter into war with Iran? Trump is considering sending soldiersZoom

Washington: Trump has personally expressed serious interest in the idea of sending US troops to Iran. According to a report, he has discussed this topic with his colleagues and Republican leaders. The report said that the plan is not for any large-scale attack but focuses on deploying a limited number of troops for special strategic missions. However, no final decision has been taken yet in this regard. According to sources, Trump has also revealed a possible plan for post-war Iran. This could include securing Iran’s uranium reserves and cooperating on oil production with a new Iranian government, which would be similar to the existing US-Venezuela oil arrangement.

What did the White House say?

Responding to this report, White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt said that this news is based on estimates from anonymous sources and that they are not part of the President’s national security team. Trump always keeps all options open and it is wrong to say that he is supporting any one option. This week, Trump said in an interview with the New York Post that while other presidents have refused to send troops on the ground, he believes that ‘it may not be needed, but if needed, it could be an option.’

Attack on more than 3000 targets

Meanwhile, according to the United States Central Command, since the military campaign began on February 28, US forces have attacked more than 3,000 targets inside Iran and damaged or destroyed 43 Iranian ships. The US and Israel launched major attacks on Iran on February 28, in which several senior military commanders, including Iran’s supreme leader Khamenei, were killed. In response, Iran has continued missile and drone attacks targeting American bases and Israel in the region. Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has said that his country is not demanding a ceasefire and sees no reason for talks with Washington.
