Jaipur: The current IPL (IPL 2026) season started off with a bang but with back-to-back losses in the last three matches, Rajasthan Royals’ road to the playoffs has become a bit tougher. However, Rajasthan Royals (RR vs LSG) kept the playoff fate in their own hands by winning the crucial match against Lucknow Super Giants. Royals will reach the playoffs if they beat Mumbai Indians in their last group match. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s excellent innings of 93 runs won the Royals. And their victory increased the pressure on KKR.

Royals had a target of 221 runs to win on the day. To that end, the two Royals’ openers got off to a flying start. Vaibhav and Yasswi Jaiswal added 19 runs against Akash Singh in the first over. In the beginning, it was Yasswi who was batting in a more aggressive mood. Vaibhav started the innings in a somewhat unnatural posture. But once set, no one, Akash, Mohsin, Prince, escaped from his hands. The young opener played a devastating innings. Despite narrowly missing out on a century, it was Vaibhav’s innings that sealed victory for the Royals. Royals won the match by seven wickets with five balls to spare.
