Wriddhiman told ABP Live Bangla, ‘I was offered to join the team as a mentor 2 days before the Bengal T20 League Cricketer Auction. i agree The team was supposed to start practice from Sunday. 2 days before that I was informed that Tribes group is moving. So I don’t have to have a mentor anymore.’

Maidan was shocked by the whole incident. CAB treasurer Sanjay Das, however, said that CAB has no role in the whole matter. He said, ‘It is completely a matter of franchisees. Our franchise fees are settled. It is none of CAB’s business.’ Harbor Diamonds withdrew before the start of the tournament. Now the Tribes group move will affect the tournament? Sanjay says, ‘Srachi team will come down. Their partner has moved away. There will be no problem in the tournament.’

However, Maidan’s question is, won’t the tournament lose a little bit of excitement due to the departure of big names like Wriddhiman Saha?
