New Delhi: Yuvraj Singh again in IPL (IPL 2027). Yes, you read that right. The World Cup-winning former Indian all-rounder will be seen again on the stage of IPL (TATA IPL). According to sources, Yuvi is going to join Delhi Capitals camp. But Yuvraj can be seen not as a cricketer but as a coach. The 2011 World Cup player of the tournament is likely to be seen as batting coach at Delhi Capitals.

IPLYuvi has not been seen as a coach for any franchise before. But that might be the case next season. Yuvraj has already mentored young Indian cricketers like Shubman Gill, Abhishek Sharma and Prabhasimran Singh. All three showed power with the bat. Gill and Abhishek are also members of the national team. Even Gill currently captains India in both formats.

According to a report in an all-India media, bringing someone of Yuvraj Singh’s stature into the coaching set-up will be a big advantage for any franchise. While there is no final decision yet, it is heard that Sourav Ganguly may be given the responsibility as the head coach of Delhi Capitals.

Note that Yuvraj Singh was one of the architects of winning the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 ODI World Cup. One of the best ODI cricketers in India, Yuvraj has played 40 Tests, 304 ODIs and 58 T20 International matches for the national team. Scored 1900, 8701 and 1177 runs in 3 formats respectively. Which includes three Test centuries and 14 ODI hundreds.

In the history of IPL, Yuvraj has played 132 matches for six different franchises between 2008 and 2019. During that time he amassed 2,750 runs and took 36 wickets. He also played for Delhi Capitals in 2015, where he scored 248 runs in 13 innings that season. After leaving the IPL, Yuvraj was never seen in charge of any team. But this time maybe Yuvi is going to take responsibility as a coaching staff.
